Interpretation

At BGGH, terminal check-in and security screening of passengers and baggage are unavailable before the published aerodrome opening time. Operators must schedule departures with enough time after opening for check-in, screening and boarding. For planning, at least 1 hour is recommended from the start of check-in to completion of boarding for domestic flights, and at least 2 hours for international flights carrying 160–300 passengers; allow separately for the time from completion of boarding to scheduled departure. This updates the remarks in AIP AD 2 BGGH, Chapter 3.

WHEN SCHEDULING DEPARTURES, AIRCRAFT OPERATORS SHALL ENSURE
THAT SUFFICIENT TIME IS AVAILABLE BETWEEN AD OPENING AND
SCHEDULED DEPARTURE TO COMPLETE CHECK-IN,
ALL REQUIRED SCREENING AND BOARDING.
FOR PLANNING PURPOSES, OPERATORS ARE RECOMMENDED TO ALLOW
AT LEAST 1 HR FROM COMMENCEMENT OF CHECK-IN TO COMPLETION
OF BOARDING FOR DOMESTIC FLIGHTS AND AT LEAST 2 HR FOR
INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS CARRYING 160-300 PASSENGERS.
