Interpretation

Radio failure procedures: If approach clearance has been received, continue for landing as instructed. If approach clearance has not been received: a) If cleared to proceed via STAR, proceed as cleared to the IAF at the assigned altitude, then descend to the minimum holding altitude and start the approach for landing. b) If not cleared via STAR, maintain the assigned level, proceed along the designated STAR for RCA VOR, then descend to the minimum holding altitude and start the approach for landing. If an EAT has been issued, the approach cannot start before the EAT. Ref AIP AD 2 LICR 1-18.
