Interpretation

Instrument approach and departure routing is specified via Smolenskaya NDB (SM). For runway 05R approaches, follow the published STAR segment from SM to KK502, then descend and conduct the ILS Z approach; for runway 23L, follow the STAR segment from SM to KK201, crossing KK208 between FL080 and FL130, then descend and conduct the ILS Z approach. Other published and available instrument approach procedures require approval from the ATS unit. Departures from runways 05R and 23L joining SM must follow the applicable published SID segment and reach SM between FL070 and FL130.
